hi all,
i want to show off my class from last quarter. teaching ukulele at UCSD is the most fun ever... 
the next class starts next week...

What a fine looking class, Dr. Keith!! I hope you will be able to take on the added duties as Ukulele Chair! But it looks like you have a fine TA.

aloha nancy! it was good having dede (have you met her?) at the kanikapila. she did a hula to "puamana" (gerry, poking his head out in the back row, and i played the song) which had the students all taking photos with their cell phones.
the fellow in the red hoodie in the back row worked up a version of "i will follow you into the dark" by "death cab for cutie" that was my favorite of the kanikapila, and the student to my right next to the end of the row, who was pretty quiet in the class, turned out to have a smoking singing voice.

Yup, DeDe Reimer is one neat lady... but she won't travel up to the South Bay....
I'm glad to hear you're continuing to teach music... Hope to see you some day soon - maybe come down Tuesday. |

dede hates driving, it's true...
starting next week i hope to become more regular at kaisen's :) no more teaching at night for me! (at least for awhile...)

That's turning out to be the next `ukulele hit song. One of the SUPA members performed it at an open mic picnic here in Seattle back in August; she posted a practice recording on her blog at http://www.nerdseyeview.com/blog/?p=386
