                      | This work is listed as "traditional" at Alligator Boogaloo. I minimize my verse usage just in case it isn't.
You can find a tab for this piece at:

 http://www.alligatorboogaloo.com/uke/tabs/050529.html

I'd suggest the following changes to that tab to make it easier to play, and to my ear, something that sounds a little better:

Vamp (suggested use as intro to song only):

 D7 - D7 - D7 - D7 - D7 - G7 - G7 - G7 - G7 - G7 - C - C - C - C - C (ever so slight pause then) - C

Repeating chord sequence linked to words would be:

NOTE: C6 chord referenced is tabbed as: 3-5-4-0 based on (A-E-C-G string sequence reference). Each repeating chord symbol in vamp or at end of a verse not associated with syllables is one strum, up OR down. (The words listed are where chords change.)

 C6 C C6 C
 Hene..........aka, kou..........paha,

 C D7 G7 C-C-C-C-C-G7-G7-G7-G7-G7-C-C-C-C-C (ever so slight pause then) - C.
 He............ia, for...........I

Am I correct that one pronounces Hawaiian vowels as follows: "e" as "ay", "u" as "oo", "i" as "ee", "o" as "oh", and "a" as "ah"? I'm looking for "the king's Hawaiian" here. Thanks.

                      | Beef stew.
I think the "e" is pronounced more like "eh" as in "energetic", i.e., mele = meh-leh instead of may-lay.

                      | Right clicked on "download" link and could only get 448 kB, to the announcement of the "very first" edition of "I Speak Hawaiian". When I tried to just play it, the sound cut off three times with a "network error". Rather disappointing... |
                      | Thank you.
