                      | As I understand it, the lu`au is on a Saturday -- that would make it August 9.
 Details, details, details!

                      | REPORT FROM THE LITTLE FOX THEATRE, REDWOOD CITY, CALIFORNIA
Taropatchers in Seattle, Eugene and Bend – get ready for MAGIC! The “young” legends of slack key planted smiles on our faces and joy in our hearts tonight and they are headed north to weave a spell over you.

George Kuo started the first set and explained his favorite tunings on his double-necked guitar are Mauna Loa on the 12 string neck and Taropatch on the 6 string neck. Watch him up close if you get the chance; it’s amazing how he alternates between those two necks! After playing a few slack key pieces, Aaron Mahi and Martin Pahinui joined him. For the rest of the evening, the three of them took turns singing lead or harmony for songs like Kona Kai ‘Opua, Pu’uanahulu, Kilakila Na Roughrider, and Aloha ‘Ia No ‘O Maui. Sweet and hilarious - their harmonious voices will linger with me for a long time; I hope they return again soon!

                      | My wife and I also attended the Little Fox Theatre show. I concur with Pulelehua. It was a really good show. We really enjoyed it - very good music and also very entertaining. Be sure to catch them if you have a chance.
 Gary

                      | Did anyone catch the Eugene Show? Just wondering what kind of turnout the Wai`alea Trio had there.
