I recently acquired an Alvarez ABT610 baritone guitar during an on-line sale. Last night while noodling, I put it into taro patch equivalent tuning (ADADF#A) for the first time and played for about 30 minutes. The lower tones added a whole new depth and dimension to these songs. I would need to increase the string gauges a bit (first and sixth strings heavier) if doing this regularly. But it sure was fun to experiment.
