Whee! We’re going to inaugurate my new space (whether it’s completely ready or not) with a great concert, featuring Mark Nelson & Tom Lunneberg. Both great players & great guys. ’Twill be on Saturday March 13 at 7:30pm, and we’ll have a 6pm potluck beforehand. Mark and Tom will also give workshops that afternoon (one each on guitar, and a bit of `ukerie with Mark). For all the gory details, email me :-)

Jean, we would lvoe to be there, but two things intefere: Alice gets back from a week-long class in Phoenix the next day, and we have front-row tickets to see Jake Shimabukuru here in Boise that night. Sorry to miss it. Say "hi" to Mark and all for us. We will get over there for another kani one of these days.

There are actually a couple of shows on this little run-out with Tom. All are house concerts, so best to write m, Tom or Jean directly for info. Folks seem to frown on posting home phone numbers on the web.
Friday March 12: House Concert in Olympia WA. 8:00 PM
Saturday, March 13: Bellevue WA at Chez Neeej
Afternoon workshops: Mark- beginning slack; Tom: arranging & technique for slack key; Mark-slack key 'ukulele
7:30 Concert
Sunday, March 14: House Concert in Bellingham, WA
I am very happy that Tom asked me to come along, I think he has a unique musical voice and I am confident that you will really like his music. Check it out at www.tlguitar.com
As for me, well... I'll try not to embarrass anyone.

There are still seats available for the Mark Nelson & Tom Lunneberg house concert (and workshops...and potluck, of course) in Bellevue (WA) on March 13.
This will be an especially exciting day for us because it will also be the first event in Jean's new kanikapila and performance space---which you've got to see to believe!
For concert and/or workshop reservations (or details & questions), please contact Jean ("neeej" here in the patch). This should be a fun day! |
