I just love this guy , his music and voice and especialy his message in this video.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DdTj4sJ1CNA

I never realy cared for this next song until I heard him do it now this video is an all time fave , it so beautiful, always brings a tear to my eye. I had a favorite pet 'cross the rainbow bridge' from a hard illness when I found it so it has a special meaning for me personaly.

WOW!

As I watched the first video, I recognized the beach as Lanikai. Those Mokolua Islands in the background are pretty recognizable.

In 1975 I met a wonderful man who turned out to be very special to me. He was in the Hawai'i Air National Guard, and had rented a home from a couple of doctors who were going to Indonesia for a year. It was RIGHT ON THE BEACH! 1534 Mokolua Drive.

I would wake up to the sight of those islands. I would run on the beach to the sunrise over those island. I cooked dinner while gazing out over that ocean. I once actually ran across some ordinance in the water there while swimming there.

It's impossible to think of those memories without a tear coming to my eyes. That man will always be very special to me, as will that beach. I'm sure my sweetheart has crossed that bridge over the rainbow already, he was much older than I was.

And of course, Iz' voice is so deep and rich, it reaches the very depths of my soul. Thank you for sharing this, Bau. I am sure that your special pet has reached his/her own paradise, and I do hope that we will all meet up with our special loves when our time comes.

(Wish I were young again. I think I might have made some different decisions....)

Oh, I forgot. I thought I'd post this to show my Iz appreciation. I know Aunty Wanda already shared this a little while after I had first posted it on youtube, but for those who haven't listened to it and are interested in doing so, here it is: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GgsGQE_lkzk

'Alika, I'm so glad you posted this, as I must have missed Wanda's earlier post. This was lovely and presented with much feeling. I am surprised how well the piano suits it. Good job!

That's a sweet version of Kaleohana, 'Alika . . . both the piano and the voice!
