Try this: Am - G - F - E7
This is a classic chord progression used in flamenco and rumba music as well as Latin-sounding rock like Toussaint l'Overture by Santana. You can also hear it in lots of surf tunes like in the main riff for Walk Don't Run by The Ventures.

Very nice progression. Loved the Ventures. Saw them open for the Monkees at the then HIC.
