What's the cardboard box for? Does it really make
a difference? Konabob simply amplifies the stick.

The cardboard box is the acoustic body of this guy's bass. In the video, I do see some sort of pickup and guitar cord attached to the cardboard box. I wonder how loud it is without the pickup? It looks like he is making all that music with only using 2 strings! Gee, some bass players have trouble playing that well with 4!

i made a transducer by cutting away the plastic casing of a Radio Shack Science Project Buzzer and hooking the 2 wires to a common guitar jack. the sweet sound is acheived by picking up the inside of the box, there would be a real thin sound if i were to mount my "transducer" to the neck or bridge. "its all about the body" in this case.

Hey Bogdon! I hope I get a chance to meet you some day. If you get a chance to come to Hawaii, make sure you let me know! I probably won't be heading to Detroit unless they suddenly decide to do a big ukulele festival there....

Aloha,
