Well, Jean (Neeej) is branching out from being the kanikapila center of Seattle. I've attended slack key workshops by Jeff Peterson and now, Patrick Landeza held at her house. Patrick dubbed it the "Hale Mele" which it surely is. And a neat thing about it is that the no cost to the kumus makes it more likely that coming to Seattle will be cost effective for them. Especially when she provides them (and even distant students like me) with a bed and meals. Patrick is now making plans to return, perhaps regularly.
So Thank You most sincerely, Jean. Who knows but you may be writing a chapter in the history of slack key's spread on the mainland.
Mahalo nui for everything! (Including introducing me to microwave bacon!)
Well, heckie dag, tell them to come Cleveland and I'll let them sleep on the couch, or sleep in da bed with Paul even if they want and I'll take the couch.
Neeej, you do a good thing. That is a very generous thing you do. Lucky you guys over there have Neeej.
