Thanks for the tip on 10-buck mics, Ric . . . can't wait to try them out. And now I'd love to find a similarly great deal on decent cables (& stands) . . . any suggestions?

I like these cables, Dr. Cookie. They are heavier guage and have sturdier connectors than the standard Musician's Friend and Guitar Center XLR cables:
