Just got a fax from the distributor -- Jake Shimabukuro's instructional uke DVD ("Play Loud Ukulele") will have its USA release June 22.

Here's what the press release sez:
Take in the energizing and mesmerizing performances of ukulele virtuoso Jake Shimabukuro with “Play Loud Ukulele”, Shimabukuro’s first DVD. “Play Loud Ukulele” captures the versatile talent and fun-loving side of Hawaii’s favorite entertainer through concert footage, interviews, music videos and a ukulele lesson.

The magic of Shimabukuro as a performer is featured in “Play Loud Ukulele.” See how Shimabukuro amazes his audience with his talent during concert performances of hits including, “Sunday Morning,” “Skyline”, and “Toastmaker’ Revenge.” The concert footage is from the musician’s 2003 Crosscurrent Tour in Japan, which included stops in eight cities and a performance at the 2003 Fuji Rock Festival where close to 100,000 people attended.

Learn to play the ukulele from the master himself. On “Play Loud Ukulele” Shimabukuro gives an in-depth ukulele lesson that covers several different playing techniques including the one-,two- and 10 finger stroke, and picking and hammering.
