Hokay, gang, get yer calendars (& erasers) out: Kanis for May will be on the FIRST & THIRD Saturdays (1st & 15th), 'cause I must commit elsewhereness on the usual 2nd/4th Sats. And only one kani in June (2nd Sat). So plot & scheme accordingly :-)

Wonderful job Jean, I was really impressed with the acoustics - no need for amps here!

Auwe, dey got moved dis month---is on 15th instead. Just as well---the air in my hale is pure poison right now, 'cause just had some hardwood floors refinished. Two whiffs had my lungs hurting for half an hour---sure cleared the sinuses though <G>

And now the 15th is cancelled---air is still a bit 'interesting', half my living room is occupied by my bedroom furniture, and I am occupied by a thriving colony of viruses. Thought I was gettin' enough better, but apparently they'd only been reading me the table of contents---now starting on chapters. Foo!

Next kani June 15

Oh, dear me, Jean. It's probably because we thought we'd make it (since the call to go see the new grandchild ain't happened yet), so we cursed the opportunity.

Rest, rest, rest, then rest some more. We'll be ready when you are ready.

Hooray! I actually probably will be there (quoting Samuel L. Goldwan, "I'll give you a positive definite maybe"), after the Kona Kitchen monthly Spam'n'Jam.

Just so you'll know . . . the July kani-ka-calendar will be as follows:

July 10th: A usual wonderful musical afternoon/evening at Hale Neeej

July 24th: In lieu of regular frivolities, we'll move our second kanikapila of the month to Steilacoom to be part of a fund-raising lu`au for a local hula group (4-6 pm just us playing on our own before people arrive for the event, then from 6 to 9 pm we'll be playing while the dancers are changing outfits between performances). More details will be posted later, or contact me anytime w/ questions.

Hope to see you at both!
Don

AL: Coming from your direction, you just turn right at the end of the Narrow's Bridge . . . then turn right & left a couple more times at appropriate places . . .

`Tis where I live . . . a small town on Puget Sound just south of Tacoma (you can still see the Narrows Bridge from here . . . and the McNeil Island prison, for that matter).
