I think that's OK. "Favorite entertainer" doesn't imply any bonafides. "What we like" and "what's good" are sometimes two different things. And I think a popular vote category sort of accommodates the need for the fervent fan to have some input while the experts judge other more technical aspects.
I voted too. Not saying for whom.

| This category has been open to votes from the general populace for several years; used to be, the ballots were available at Borders stores in Hawai`i. Nice to see the use of the modern intraweb thingy for it now. |

It is also nice to see - as Wanda points out - that it is a one-vote-per-IP method. I often wonder who would win American Idol or the Hawai'i Music Awards if "ballot box stuffing" were not permitted.
