I know you going to think I am a proud old Auntie tooting the horn for my boys just because I love them. Na, na, You are wrong. I am publicizing my boys because they have so much talent I want all the world to share in their music and aloha. (And yes, because I love them). They have been playing together only a short time but collectively they sound as if they belong together, as if they have been playing together for a long time. Each compliments the others so well and they each bring special talents to the mix.
If you are on O`ahu and need some music for your event, please contact them. Also do not forget they have a You Tube Channel: kekaninahe where you may also not only access their music videos but you can read comments of what folks are saying about them. Ke Kani Nahe was one of the six finalists in the Kani Ka Pila Grille contest to win a month's worth of gigs at the Kani Ka Pila Grille! My boys!!!!! Out of all those entries, they played in front of Cyril Pahinui and Kawika Kahiapo in the finals. You know Auntie is so proud. (Chrai wait, I go get my kleenex now).
Introducing Ke Kani Nahe - Derek Higa, Duke Domingo; Samson Sang ; and Shawn Machida.

Mahalo Andy. All 4 members are Taropatch.net members and 3 of the 4 actually met here. So Ke Kani Nahe owes you a special thanks.
Wanda you are perpetually our biggest supporter & that's one of the reasons we all love you so much.Only one of the small reasons, mind you. When you & Paul visit in August (which is taking it's sweet time getting here)Ke Kani Nahe will not only play for you guys but FORCE you guys to play along with us. |

Dukie - you know me-- if you stunk, I would not be your musical supporter. But good thing, you guys no stink and I and so proud of you! Every one of you who came together are not only wonderful musicians, but you are all genuinely NICE and PONO people.
I'm working on Waiulu. I'm getting the words down pretty good. Too bad I can't sing worth a darn. Neva like make Derek shame. I have to bring medicines and presents and stuff in carry on and cannot bring `ukulele. You gotta lend me one please. And it still might take some coaxing to get me to play or sing, but you know you don't have to coax Paul. He's been practicing, playing along with your videos.
Mahalo Andy for making this forum so these gentlemen can meet and of course, so we could meet Duke and Jay. We are so much the better for it! |

Mahalo all you guys for the nice comments. We all just love to play music and who better to do it with than with good friends. Once we get settled and a little more polished we hope to go out and play some music for the local retirement homes and bring a little entertainment to them in addition to whateva comes our way. We've already played for Auntie Elodia Kane with the Abrigo Ohana and hope to continue to do that kind of stuff.
Auntie Wanda, thanks for all your support, we love you. Jesse, missed you out at Kualoa Ranch last Sun. |

Derrick and Duke, it was great meeting you guys on our trip. You sounded great at the Kualoa Ranch kanikapila!! We were so sorry to leave for the airport while the music was still playing. We really missed being part of "Hawai'i Aloha" which I'm sure was sung and the end of the day. Even though we were not there for the end, we were holding hands in spirit. It was such a fantastic way to end our stay on O'ahu |
