I'm new to this, but I've been play'n ukulele, concert size kine a while now. I play a couple(guitar, mandolin, dobro/lap),kine instruments, but ukulele has brought me the most joy. Not just the music, but smiles from listeners and the Ohanas I've been blessed to be invited to this year. It is right that Big Bill Brozman called her "this noble little instrument!" May we always choose kuleana pono in all we do!

Right now all I have is a Fender Koa Nohea. I've traded away (fool anyway), a Kamaka concert and an old Lyon & Healy kine. Early next month I got my eyes open for a cedar top-flame mahogany back & sides kine...Mele Kalikimaka to me! |

I like the name Fender used "Nohea" it really is nohea kine. I put a Dean Markley passive kine external transducer inside, mounting it permenate. It was hard work getting it placed just right. My hand isn't big kine, but I didn't think I was gonna get it out! Sounds good plugged into a DI, so I must'a got it right! |

lol! no you dont want to wear a mikilima ukulele!
you sure you want to know? mine is made out of a tiny 23 inch childs guitar my bassist rescued from the trashcan. I modified it from 6 string to 4 and leveled the frets it plays and stays intune remarkably well for a literal piece of garbage! not having funds for an instrument it has at least given me something to practice on and kick around with worryng about damage lol so yes I know da kine no snobbery here ;) and just so you know I am sistah :P and bless'ns to you too. enjoy the forum. |
