This oral autobiography by Kindy Sproat is a wonderful read. Please, if you guys care about the history of Hawai`i and of Hawaiian music, you need to read this book. It would have been so cool to have known this man. He had plenty knowledge in his head. It is just as if you were talking story with him. It has been transcribed just as he spoke the words. He talks about his love for slack key and how he took his `ukulele with him everywhere.

The story about how he tried to save some ice, the first time he ever saw any....priceless.
