Friend is seeking Hawaiian lyrics for "Mauna Alani". Checked liner notes of albums which include the mele, but none have the lyrics.

Help, please!

Hi Auntie,
You posted this a few years back at the Hawaiian Music Hall of Fame site:

"Lyrics for "Mauna Alani" are included in the liner notes of this Sons of Hawai`i CD -- which you probably have:
http://www.mele.com/v3/info/1295.htm"
It's the five faces album.
Is it the same song?

Braddah Jesse, if you're talking about this album, the liner notes contain only the English translations of the Hawaiian lyrics with nothing written in Hawaiian, which might have been sacrificed to allow the rest of the 14 pages-thick liner notes booklet to accommodate in-depth profiles of each of the five faces on that album.

Thanks, Ed. I've never seen the album, but I've been seeking those lyrics, too, because Iz put it in his Maui Medley. Auntie Marie posted the reply I quoted, but I never got my hands on a copy of the album with the accompanying book.
But despite the medley's popularity, you can't find lyrics to "Na Wai Eha" and "Mauna Alani" on the web.
