Kory, I wished I had a picture of you when you came to our Kani dressed in Lederhosen and a Hawaiian shirt - priceless! |

Our special kani on the 29th is becoming special-er. We've once again been invited to my cousin's for their summer BBQ/lu`au. Seems like this is becoming our annual face-the-public-and-play-for-food gig...and it's always been good fun with great food!
So, we'll be jamming in Redmond instead of Bellevue on the 29th. Start time for the party is 6 pm. Please contact me if you need the address and/or directions. Or...contact Jean if you want to meet earlier at the usual place and/or carpool to Redmond (don't forget parking can be tight at the function).

Jean, Susy, Jan, Rich, Kimo & Glenn . . .
Kevin & Melanie send a big mahalo for playing at their party last weekend. And I thank you for making them happy :)

The easy part: a reminder that next Sat (the 12th) is kani-time again.
Now, hold onto yer hats & haul out yer calendars: That's the only kani this month, due to my unconscionable absences later <VEG>. So, to make up for same, we'll have'm on the 1st, 3rd & 5th Saturdays in October (3rd, 17th, 31st [boo!]).
November, 2nd (14th) only (3rd is Cyril's big do, 4th is T-day weekend).
December 1st & 3rd (5th, 19th).
Whew!!! Then back to what passes for normal in this group.

Rats once more! I play with Gary Madieros & Friends 3-3:330 Saturday, 10/3. I have set aside the weekend of the 15th (except for the opera Saturday evening, 10/17 - La Traviata!) to play with y'all. It'd be cool to do something on the 18th. |

Alas, I cannot be twice places at once. Give all my aloha, eat some non-German grinds for me. The lederhosen call. Pros't! |

If you can't make it to Waimanalo, then by all means just sit back and let Waimanalo come to you!
Mahalo Cyril . . . what a treat to have you here with us for this evening's kanikapila. Great music, tips, stories and food. Please feel free to join us whenever you're in Seattle!
A big thanks to Jean, too . . . your place is truly like the center of the universe for musical aloha :)
