I jus wen get Herb Jr and Daniel Ho's 2nd book, Exploring the Ukulele in da mail. Since nobody wen write up anyting about dis book, hea's some thoughts about it. Like the first, it is full of practical information to help improve playing. They provide a wealth of information:

- Pentatonic Scales
- 3rds and 6ths (in a variety of scales with different string combos)
- arppegio patterns
- 2nd position chords (1st position in the first book)
- Hawaiian turnaround (in 5 keys)
- 8 practice exercises
* Henehene kou aka
* Hilo Hanakahi
* Ku`u pua i paoakalani
* Ua mau
* Kaenuhea
* Hawaiian Sky
* Ku`u ipo i ka he`e pu`e one

I neva went to one of dea workshops, and I tink dis book would probably go good wit dat. Howeva, dis book is jus full of valuable info (as you can see above) witout much commentary. I like the organization. As a learner, it's easy to pick up practical tips and to learn the basics of playing ukulele Hawaiian style from dis book. One note, dis book is written for playing wit da low G string, even though having a hi-G string sounds fine as well.

I strongly recommend dis book to anyone who wants to take their playing to the next level. BIG mahalos to Herb Jr. and Daniel Ho fo taking da time fo putting dis togeddah and sharing da joys of playing da ukulele wit us!

ok, dass my 2 cents! take it easy eh! shootz.

If can, can. If no can, no can.
