Aloha Aunty,
Richard Kauhi was a Hawaiian music pioneer in terms of his jazz approach to Hawaiian music. The Richard Kauhi trio were known for their 4 part harmonies. He heavily influenced such people as Buddy Fo and the Invitatios, Brickwood Galuteri and others. As a side note, he was the brother of another entertainr, Zulu (real name Gilbert Kauhi) who played Kono on the original Hawaii Five 0 |

Mahalo, Unko Rob. I was very taken by these two videos of Richard Kauhi. What a beautiful voice.
Weird thing the new upcoming Hawai`i 5-0 going have a woman play the part of Kono. |
