GAAAHHHH,

Alaska canceled our flight this morning, so we won't get to visit with you. Darn it! I was so looking forward to it.

I hope all of you living up there in the Seattle area are driving carefully and keeping safely warm inside.

Down here in the mountains (1200 feet elevation) we're accustomed to power outages and have a good size generator, and an efficient wood-burning stove, on which I can cook if I have to. But we only get snow every now and then, mostly heavy rains and windy storms. Our 4-wheel drive gets us around.

Such a different world from Keahou...

Nice one yesterday! Mahalo to Charlie Recaido, plus Gloria & Bill Nahalea for joining our kanikapila . . . as well as for bringing Megumi to share her beautiful hula with us . . . what a treat!

I have two tickets for Arlo Guthrie on April 13 at Edmonds PAC. row B seats 102 and 103. $45.00 which is at cost. We got these months ago but now we have to be in Hawaiʻi on that day for business. If anyone is interested contact me by email from this site. Who kows he might even play some slack key.

I'll be home by the 5th, but I have an opera to attend on the 5th, and I'll be in L.A. on the 19th preparing a eulogy that I have been asked to give for a good friend. I'll be back on the 22nd, so I can make the June ones.

Reminder time again...July's kanis will be on schedule, 1st & 3rd Saturdays (July 7 & 21). Early warning...August will be on 2nd & 4th (Aug 11& 25) because of performance conflicts.
