You Tube, wee of 4 July 2010

Auntie sorry she is late. Too busy partying and running around. Had to go to the scrapbook store today and then lunch at Wild Mango Restaurant. I had the seared scallops with wild mushroom ragout and crab risotto. You wouldn’t believe how good it was. Broke da mout’.

Anyhow, here are some swell videos this week. Get some iced tea, turn up the A/C and chrai make it during the 93 degree heat today.

Kamehameha High School Keiki Kahu's performed "This Little Light of Mine" with a Rap as part of their Christian Leadership course during their Hoolaulea at Pacific Rim Christian College. The student project asked that the student develop a "ukulele fellowship" by building a leadership team that would help them learn ukulele songs (music and voice), translate lyrics, and perform them. Students were encourage to contextualize the song as part of a global project. Therefore, they select a Hawaiian Reggae style and included a rap into the song performance.

The Santa Barbara link is for 'kaleo', both the name of the band and the name of the singer... Kaleo Naea (a TP member as well).
